I.E.M. Incredibile Expandive Mindfuck progetto solista di Steven Wilson ispirato alla musica sperimentale degli anni sessanta e settanta, particolarmente influenzato dal kraut-rock, la musica qui non vuole essere intesa come nostalgica di quegli anni, ma ne trae solo ispirazione dall’aspetto di quel genere. Principalmente il progetto è basato solo sulla musica strumentale.

I.E.M. (Incredible Expanding Mindfuck). Il cofanetto viene pubblicato nel 2010 dalla ToneFloat in sole 2000 copie e andò esaurito in fretta, poi nel 2014 viene fatta una seconda ristampa di 1,000 copie. Presentato con una bellissima cover rigida, dal design di Carl Glover, contiene un booklet di 60 pagine e 4 CDs, ognuno nella sua busta "mini album". Il cofanetto contiene tutte le registrazioni che Steven ha fatto sotto il nome di I.E.M. (Incredible Expanding Mindfuck) negli anni 1996-2001.

The third IEM album mostly uses improvisations from 1999 as source material, heavily reconstructed and overdubbed in the studio in August 2001. The exception is track 6 which is a piece for hammered dulcimer and mellotron choir.
